CLICKACTION AND BROADVISION INTEGRATE SYSTEMS TO PROVIDE ADVANCED EMAIL MARKETING/E-MESSAGING
CAPABILITIES
XML Technology Enables Major Clients Like Pitney Bowes to Synchronize Subscriber
Information in Real-Time
PALO ALTO, Calif. (September 5, 2000) ClickAction Inc. (Nasdaq:
CLAC)
today at the BroadVision Partner Training conference announced the development
of an XML based profile data exchange feature for BroadVision One-To-One
Enterprise clients. Delivering on the companies on-going commitment
to integrate industry-leading technologies, ClickAction's XML Automatic Data
Transfer (XML-ADT) allows BroadVision users to seamlessly and automatically
synchronize subscriber profile data with their ClickAction e-marketing Profile
Database.
By utilizing the XML-ADT, subscriber information entered by a visitor on a
Web site using BroadVision One-To-One Enterprise can be automatically transferred
to ClickAction in a secure, XML based transaction. ClickAction and BroadVision
clients will benefit by having real-time, secure, profile data available in
the ClickAction Email Relationship Management (ERM) service, ensuring those
clients deliver personal, relevant and timely email marketing/e-messaging
information.
The first of several mutual clients to utilize XML-ADT is Pitney Bowes (NYSE:
PBI), a leader in business outsourcing that offers advanced end-to-end business
solutions to their clients. Pitney Bowes has made a strategic commitment in
BroadVision technology to drive their e-commerce initiatives. The XML format
will allow Pitney Bowes to leverage their commitment by integrating their
BroadVision applications with ClickAction ERM to drive highly targeted email
marketing/
e-messaging campaigns. Pitney Bowes looks forward to other opportunities to
strengthen their eCRM capabilities.
"ClickAction and BroadVision have developed a unique partnership that
will offer clients cutting-edge email marketing/e-messaging technology,"
said George Grant, senior vice president of marketing for ClickAction. "XML-ADT
is the first of many steps between ClickAction and BroadVision to integrate
our respective industry-leading technologies. As an important XML-ADT client,
Pitney Bowes will gain a true best-of-breed service."
